Quick
Bio
Chad Coggin has been playing guitar since he was a little kid, though not
continuously. He stopped a few times to sleep, eat, go to work, and, more
recently, to get a haircut. Chad currently lives near Atlanta, Georgia USA, and
is working on an instrumental album and accompanying instructional DVD.
Chad's influences range from rock and metal to jazz and classical, with an
emphasis on slippery, flowing lines. Though his initial exposure to guitar was
through classical guitar training, most of his electric style comes from
experimenting on his own and stealing ideas from helpful friends.
Chad's primary goal is to help others learn about guitar and eliminate the
mystery surrounding techniques that are actually pretty easy when you get down
to it. Chad does not really like typing about himself in the third person, as it
makes him sound like Bob Dole.
